Welcome to the Lorge School Website. We create a safe, caring, environment for children with special needs. The school boasts a long tradition of providing students with a love of knowledge, the courage to excel and a sense of being part of a community.

Since its beginnings in 1961, Lorge has espoused a positive view of our students capabilities. My aim, and that of our committed administration, teachers, clinical staff, and Behavioral Mentors, is for each child to develop a sense of self-worth, enthusiasm for learning, respect for others and to be optimistic about their future.

Students are encouraged to enjoy their learning, to show compassion and tolerance, embrace diversity and develop a sense of cultural heritage. Browsing through this website will introduce you to Lorge, our truly unique school.
